Band agency has subsequently renamed itself as D'Lloyd in the late 1960s to the early formation Bartje van Houten (guitar), Andre Gultom (saxophone, flute, vocals), Syamsuar Hashim (lead vocals), Chairoel David (drums), Budiman Pulungan (keyboards), and Sangkan "Papang" Panggabean (bass).

As a band they have limited authority and popularity that could not be achieved. Therefore, they had thought to try to enter the world of professional music homeland which began growing at that time. By keeping the name of D'Lloyd in 1972 they managed to release her first album on the label Remaco and began to be known by the hits "Noda point". That success has made them eager to work better on the next album. a series of successful then continues with various albums, and songs that became hits like "Why Should Meet", "What's Wrong And Dosaku", etc.

The band group grew with the development of their popularity in the music world. D'Lloyd popularity as one of the legendary music group Indonesia never extinguished since the 1970s. D'Lloyd is one of the legendary band managed to popularize and perpetuate the songs that period even today. Almost every month they have always got an invitation gig abroad. Name D'Lloyd not only popular in the country but they also have millions of fans in Malaysia and Singapore. Still other members also are creating songs for D'Lloyd, as Budiman Pulungan create "Rock'N Roll Music" (1976) Papang creating "Gubahanku", Andre Kasiman Gultom creating "Do Wrong Choose", etc.

Songs and music D'Lloyd pleasing to the ear, its simple chord (similar Koes Plus), and the lyrics are not grandiose. Group band over 4 decades-old has recorded hundreds of songs.
