On June 7, 1986, the Jornal de Barretos Comunicações Group definitively aired JORNAL FM, with a way of making FM that until then Barretos had not, with a super team, differentiated plastic from others, much creativity with various programs and announcers that soon fell in love with listeners, making the radio the audience leader and a big fever in the city.

The strong point of the radio in the beginning was also the musical part, that through a partnership, everything that comes out again in São Paulo, in a week was already playing on JORNAL FM, and only later, much later, the competing radios started playing. . It is worth remembering that at the time there was no facility that today we have to download a song over the Internet, had to even seek or wait for the publishers that passed every three months.

The radio slogan was "FM newspaper, your radio" and for years the big attraction was TOK BIZ, with live participation from listeners. But as everything has to change and move forward, the Group, aiming for new directions, settled the partnership with the Transamérica Radio Network.

On August 11, 2000, at 12 noon, Jornal FM became Transamérica, joining this communication network with great pride. From then on a new story began to be written. Transamérica was already a well-known radio station, and it was up to the Jornal de Barretos Comunicações Group to undertake this project for the city and region of Barretos.
