In this post, I am going to show you how to install CPqD Alcance on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install CPqD Alcance using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "CPqD Alcance" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

CPqD Alcance is a launcher application, designed for blind or visually impaired people, especially for beginners or the ones who have difficulty with technology.

The CPqD Alcance application allows the visually impaired people to use different functions of a touchscreen smartphone with autonomy, privacy and simplicity, improving their life quality and appropriating the facilities of digital and connected world.

This application has an inclusive interaction model that combines automatic screen reader with Brazilian Portuguese text to speech and a standardized interface for the functions (described below).

When the user slides the finger across the screen, the application speaks the function name related to the place where the finger is located, and it is possible to select the functionality with double-touch. Watch the demonstration video to learn more.

CPqD Alcance is a free and no advertising application, it has the basic features of a mobile phone and a package of advanced functions, including entertainment.

Basic Functions:
• Make and receive phone calls.
• Check calls history.
• Keep the phone contacts.
• Send and receive text messages (SMS).
• Check the smartphone battery level and mobile operator signal.
• Check the date and time.

Advanced Features:
• Alarm clock with voice reminder.
• Music player.
• Weather forecast based on INPE.
• News.
• GPS functions ("where am I" and "auxiliary navigation" functions).
• Camera and photo gallery.
• Text file reader.
• Operating system applications access (no voice support).
• Personal settings (speech and ringer settings, automatic notifications, accessibility and facilities).

AFTER INSTALL, THE CPqD ALCANCE WILL BE THE STANDARD INTERFACE OF THE SMARTPHONE (LAUNCHER). To disable the application, search in the last page of the main menu the option “DESATIVAR O CPQD ALCANCE” (represented by "X") and CONFIRM. After that, you will be asked to select Android start, select TOUCHWIZ, START TOUCHWIZ, START, LAUNCHER or similar term (depending on the manufacturer) and touch the "SEMPRE" button to restore the phone.
