The Gospel of Q (Wisdom of the Ages #2)

This app contains the full text of Mark M. Mattison's public domain translation of "The Gospel of Q" as published on Gospels.Net. The Gospel of Q is a hypothesized early Christian era document (50 to 70 CE) that some scholars argue provided a common source for the composition of the Gospels of Matthew and Luke (along with other material, including the Gospel of Mark). This is known as the "Two Source Hypothesis". The version published here has been meticulously reconstructed by respected Biblical scholars using elements common to both gospels. Sayings are grouped by Chapter, with the original verses from the biblical gospels noted in superscript.

The app offers the user the ability to randomly select an individual group of sayings from a particular Chapter for contemplation, as well as the ability to choose an individual group of sayings by Chapter title, to search the full text of the document for sayings containing a particular word, and of course view the full text of the document.

Much more information about the Gospel of Q can be found on the Early Christian Writings web site at http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/q.html
