Find car tax prices for any car, old or new, with this app.

(car tax prices otherwise known as road tax prices or Vehicle Excise Duty rates)

If you know the registration you can search by registration to get the tax prices. The registration search shows all prices, 12 months, 6 months, monthly etc. It also shows the Tax and MOT status of the car. This information comes from the DVLA.

If you just want to know the tax prices for a particular model of car you can browse by make/model/variant. There's over 40,000 make/model/variant records to browse! These records are for 1st March 2001-on cars that have a CO2 emissions value published. The tax prices for these cars is determined by the tax band they fall into based on the CO2 emissions. As with the registration search these records show all the tax prices for the car. They also show fuel consumption figures, transmission and fuel types and other data. This information comes from the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and is updated about once a month (no need to update the app).

You can also search the make/model/variant records. You might find it quicker to search for "golf gti" than to browse through the Volkswagen/Golf variants.

The app has tables of all the car tax prices. Tables show prices by tax band and fuel type. For cars registered before 1st March 2001 the tax prices are based on the engine size. The app has those prices in a table too. All prices are shown, including monthly.

The app also has cars grouped by tax band. So for example if you want to see all Band A cars you can do that by clicking a link. You can also search the make/model/variant records for something like "band a fiesta".

The app also has information on tax rules such as the new paperless system that has replaced the paper tax disc. There is also information on tax exempt vehicles such as historic vehicles or disabled people's cars.

Every price for every car, old or new, in your hand! You won't find all these features on any other app. :o)

P.S. Please disregard any one-star reviews you might see. The app works well and certainly as advertised. Such reviews are left after doing a registration search when the app correctly reports the DVLA has no information available for the vehicle (might have been scrapped, might be the wrong registration) which some see as a problem with the app.
