The Park is proud of its pure waters, deep-cut gorges, remains of virgin forests, richness of biodiversity, being an Eldorado of mountain flowers, including several endemic plants.

The guide includes 159 taxa, the majority of native woody species, plus some alien but already naturalised species like Robinia pseudacacia and Ailanthus altissima. For difficult genera like Rubus, Rosa and Salix only the most common species are treated.
