Greg Boyd was born in the 1957th year. He was raised in the tradition of the Roman

Catholic Church.

   As a teenager, Greg Boyd became an atheist. Because of this, he felt free from the fear of death and hell. He was looking for the meaning of life in Eastern religions and drugs. In 1973om, after sobering experiences with drugs, he decided not to take more of them.
   Instead, he became interested in philosophy, and tried to find the meaning of life there. Boyd himself believed that "religion is just a crutch for weak people." One friend challenged him, turning this phrase: "What if your disbelief just a crutch, because you can not cope with the truth that all of us will have to answer to our Creator?" It made Boyd's thinking.
   In the 1974th year, after the 17th birthday, Greg Boyd became a follower of Christ.
   After believing, Boyd continued his studies in philosophy and theology. In 1988, Boyd received his doctorate (summa cum laude) in Theological / Seminary at Princeton University.
At the 1992nd year, at the request of the head of the Baptist General Conference, Boyd founded the church "Woodland Hills" (Baptist overall conference / Baptist General Conference) in the city of SentPol, Minnesota. To this day he is there serves as senior pastor.
   In 2000nom year, he entered the ministry "Christ the winner", which is now called «ReKnew», through which he is a skeptic and a believer outside the local church.
   Greg and his wife, Shelley, have been married for more than 32 years. They have three children and five grandchildren. They live in SentPol, Minnesota.
