In this post, I am going to show you how to install Speech Development App on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Speech Development App using BlueStacks

Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
Once installed, click "Speech Development App" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

Speech Development App is an app that is aimed to help people get better in their American English. The app outputs the pronunciation of a word through the help of the smartphone's text to speech engine, and then takes input from the user through the use of the smartphone's speech to text feature. The app will then check if the user's input will match the word or phrase that the user needs to pronounce. If the user's input matches, then the user will get a "star" as a sign of the user's ability to pronounce the word or phrase shown to him/her.

Note:
- Having Google text to speech engine gives the best result for American English pronunciation. Therefore, it might be best to download it.
- If the phone does not have its own speech to text, then internet is required to run the speechrecognition feature.
- On slower phones, the initialization of the Text to Speech feature might take some time for the first use on each lesson. Therefore, some patience will be required.

Permissions:
- The app needs internet for smartphones that don't have speechrecognition installed.
- The app needs record audio permission to use the microphone for speechrecognition.
- The app needs external storage write permission to record user's progress.
