Tradition Track Challenge is a not for profit program that encourages students to participate in campus activities throughout their time at the UNI. The Traditions Challenge is a bucket list of campus activities that students should participate in before graduation. The challenge is comprised of all aspects of a true collegiate experience ranging from athletic events, musical/theatrical productions, residence life, and much more. After completion, it serves as a personalized yearbook for each participant’s years at UNI! It is every student’s guide to being a “true panther” by providing great knowledge of the campus’ continually evolving history, our traditions!

The “Tradition Track” application allows students to keep a tracking profile on their smartphones of all the traditions they have completed. Once downloaded, students are asked to sign in using their Tradtion Track email accounts in order for CATS (Connecting Alumni To Students) to keep a data base of completed traditions. The first step is to enable the account and login into the app. Once logged in the “picture view”, “list view” and “calendar view” of all of the traditions are displayed. Users can complete a tradition in three simple steps. Open a tradition listed on the app, take a picture or chose a picture from their picture gallery. Once the picture is uploaded the student will receive confirmation that the tradition has been completed and approved by the alumni association. Then the picture is ready to share with their friends on Facebook and other social media.

Each picture will be saved to the student’s phone and sent to the CATS database under the corresponding profile. The application will keep track of all submitted pictures along with the number of completed traditions. On each student’s profile, they can view how many traditions they have completed out of the fifty-nine total challenges.

Simple Steps:
1. Register for the app with your UNI email address.
2. Confirm your registration through your email.
3. Login with your credentials.
4. Attend an event out of the list of Traditions.
5. Take a picture while you are there or upload it from your picture gallery.
6. Upload the picture on the app and share with your friends!
