In this post, I am going to show you how to install What's That Fish on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install What's That Fish using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "What's That Fish" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

What’s That Fish
Being a novice fisherman, it was difficult identifying the fish I was catching. By the time I looked through all the charts and booklets to try and figure out what I had caught the poor thing was dead! Identifying was one thing, then there were the bag limits and minimum size requirements.
So I came up with this ‘prototype’ version of What’s That Fish to help identify the fish you’ve caught ( more fish species will be added as time progresses ). As long as you have internet coverage, simply take a picture of the fish with your phone, wait a few seconds ( dependant on your coverage ) and you should receive an image of the fish species you have caught along with the Minimum size limits and Bag limits and Possession limits for that species.
As our fish library increases in size, there will be greater accuracy in identifying the fish. As there are so many variations of the same fish, there may be an error now and again, please bear with us on this as the system must find a fish already in the data base that looks more like this one than any other on the data base.
Future versions will have a description tab so you can select a fish from an alphabetic list. Information will be listed as to:
- what regions they can be caught,
- the best bait or lure to use
- and once you’ve caught it there could possibly be some recipes as well.

BUTTONS DESCRIPTION AND ACTIONS
FishCam
Hold phone so that the majority of the fish takes up the display and press Capture. After a short delay a picture of a fish should display on the screen being similar to what you have caught with the name of the fish and the regulation size and bag limits.
Seabreeze
Press Seabreeze button and a 7 Day Wind & Wave forecast should show on the screen. On the top bar select State eg Queensland, then select region eg Brisbane and a 7 Day Wind & Wave Forecast will show for this region. By scrolling down it will show Tides and Wind strength and direction in Km/h and Knots for various areas within the Brisbane marine sector.
BOM ( Bureau Of Meteorology )
Press BOM button and a Radar vision of the region displays showing if there is any rain in the region, just select the Region suitable and you can zoom in and out with the Radar distance buttons eg 64km or 128km etc.
