In 2003, in Alushta young specialists ichthyologists headed by Viktor Zhilenko first exhibition of fish was established. Initially, it was only one room with the fish habitat of the Black and Azov Seas.
But by 2005, she won the right to be called the largest aquarium on the southern coast of Crimea. And in 2007, the aquarium has collected the largest collection of the exposition in Ukraine. In 2008, the exhibition has become a complement and decorate an amazing collection of sea shells and coral from around the world.
Currently, just under the building trolley banks it has settled the underwater world, which is inhabited by more than 250 different species of fish from all corners of our planet, as well as 3 types of crocodiles, 5 species of crabs and 8 species of turtles.
Alushta Aquarium includes 4 rooms with aquatic inhabitants and an exhibition of shells and coral. Once in the first room, it seems that you get into an underwater cave, in which the inhabitants live in a variety of two seas - the Black and Azov. Here you will encounter sea creatures such as sea horses, sea dog, sea cow (or spotted astrologer), sea dragon, sea cat (or ramp-stingray), and many others.
