Focused on the correct identification of plant species of the Atlantic, held over the last 10 years in a Environmental Reserve (RENARG) located in the buffer zone of the State Park of Serra do Mar - PESM we had the opportunity to use the Field Guides published by the Field Museum from surveys conducted by renowned Brazilian researchers, composing a very EFFICIENT material for the recognition of numerous species. In this context, it emerged the initiative to organize this material for easy reference in the field, and this Atlantic Forest Fruits Guide the first result of this work.

Drawn from the compilation of several botanical surveys were listed 93 shrub and tree species, distributed in 30 families, where you can perform a quick search and offline by species, family or popular name.
 
In addition to the search you can see:

 - a photograph of the fruit of every kind *

 - their taxonomic classification,

 - phenological data (time of flowering and fruiting)

 - morphological data (type of fruit)

 - environmental data (seed dispersal syndrome, classification in forest succession)

 - hit area in Brazil (states and biomes)

 - extinction threat category, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature - IUCN.

In this way, we hope this Fruits Guide becomes a practical use tool, adding more value to established the Field Museum Field Guides, disseminating and facilitating its use in the field, whether professional or amateur.
