MyTubò allows for remotely monitoring the status of the central vacuum units manufactured by Aertecnica S.p.A.
Users who purchase an Aertecnica central vacuum unit are provided with the credentials for accessing the app.
After logging in to MyTubò, the users will be able to:

- View a list of their central vacuum units
- Assign a nickname to each of their central vacuum units
- For each central vacuum unit on the list, authorise the transmission of the unit’s data and authorise Aertecnica S.p.A. to process their personal data pursuant to (Italian) Legislative Decree no. 196/03
- Authorise Aertecnica S.p.A. to contact them for sending updates and commercial offers
- View technical data relative to the central vacuum unit
- Receive push notifications in case of malfunctions
- View which malfunctions are occurring on the central vacuum unit. in case of an error on the unit, a brief description of the problem will appear. In certain cases, the user may also consult a video explaining the operations required for solving the problem
- Sending reset commands to the central vacuum unit for restoring normal operation: in certain cases the malfunction or anomaly affecting the unit may be due to a temporary status, such as, for example, a full collection bag. Once the bag is replaced, the user may perform a reset so that the unit can reassess all its parameters and return to the proper status, ready for use
- Consult a usage log of their central vacuum units
- View a list of manuals from the manufacturer’s website: by selecting the relevant model, the user may consult the complete manual of the central vacuum unit

Data can be exchanged between MyTubò and the central vacuum unit in two ways:
- Remote mode: in this case, the sending and reception of the unit’s data occurs through the Aertecnica server.
- Direct connection mode: if the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network, the user can communicate directly with the central vacuum unit installed in the same network. The choice between these two different modes is made when the central vacuum unit is selected from the list. With this mode the user does not require an Internet connection: an internal network is sufficient for exchanging data with the central vacuum unit.
Following the selection, the app runs a scan of the IP addresses present in the Wi-Fi network: once the central vacuum unit is detected, the app connects to it directly and sends/receives data through the conventional socket mode.
Moreover, the app saves the IP address of the central vacuum unit so that is does not have to rescan the network at the subsequent direct connection attempt.
The user may set the data refresh frequency at intervals of one minute, every ten seconds or every second (real time).
This menu can be accessed from the ‘settings’ button on the top right-hand side.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
