In this post, I am going to show you how to install DotGame on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Play DotGame using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "DotGame" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

In this exciting Character Game of Dots and Boxes, the winner will be generally the player who makes the last move. Because this is that at the end of the game, there will be usually a few long corridors or chains of boxes left to be taken. This is basically android version of the old classic which lets you play the game. The aim is complete more boxes than your opponent. You and your opponent i.e. computer, partner or online partner take it in turns to join up two adjacent dots with a line. If any player fills a box they must make another move. Watch out, the computer strategy is driven by a reasonably intelligent algorithm! If your opponent is forced to play in one of these chains, then you can take all but two of the boxes and, by sacrificing the last two boxes, make certain that it is his or her turn to play into the next long chain. You will thus win all but two boxes in each long chain, and of course you will win all boxes in the last chain. We say a chain is long if it contains at least four boxes.
Rules:
You have to join two horizontally or vertically adjacent dots by a line. Smart Player who completes the fourth side of a square (a box) colors that box and must play again. When all boxes have been colored, the game ends and the player who has colored more boxes wins. You are playing against the computer. A pointer indicates you, your partner, your online partner or the computer.
