This application is a useful Scripture study tool when performing topical studies. It is based on R. A. Torrey's Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (found at http://www.biblestudytools.com/concordances/treasury-of-scripture-knowledge/). I made this app for my own personal studies, and I hope it serves you in your own study of God's infallible, all-sufficient word.

Basic usage:
To begin, select a set of verses you wish to study. These verses are known as "root verses". Leave the Depth and Filter fields at their default values and press Submit. A loading bar will display during a brief pause, and then a network of verses will appear in the Cross Reference Map screen. Pinch in and out to zoom the network (words will not be visible at low zoom levels). Drag the network to move it around the screen. In red, you will find the root verses you selected. Radiating out from the root verses you will find a few topical nodes. A topical node contains a word or phrase from its root verse which indicate which parts are being crossed-referenced by the yellow verses attached to it. That is, these yellow verses are the immediate cross-references to the root verses, under the topic specified by the connecting topical nodes.

Advanced usage:
It is possible to use the CRM as a topical concordance by specifying a search term in the Filter field. If you do, only verses which contain the phrase you supply will be retrieved. So typing 'wis' will filter for verses with words like wisdom, wise, wiser, etc. The filter can also use standard logic operations by typing AND, OR, or NOT and checking the "Advanced Filter" box. For example, typing '(wise OR wisdom) AND grew AND NOT proud' will include verses like "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him" (Luke 2:40 KJV). The search terms and the logic operators are case-insensitive.
Along with the filter, it is sometimes useful or interesting to supply a value in the Depth field specifying how far out from the root verse to search. The default depth is 1, which means only the immediate cross references of a root verse are considered. If the depth is 2, a "friend-of-friend" search happens - not only are root verses' cross-references found, but so are their cross-references. Finally, you can supply a maximum number of verse bubble "nodes," which can help to reduce processor strain and time.

NOTE: It is important to use a filter term when specifying a depth. Since a reasonably connected verse may have 5-10 cross-references, a depth of 2 may have 25-100 verses, a depth of 3 may have 125-1000, etc. In other words, the number of result verses increases exponentially with depth. Filtering will help to reduce this effect.
