It is known as electronic music that is generated through certain electronic devices such as synthesizer or sampler and can be conceived in its entirety from the sounds and melodies that produce these machines ... or to a song and created and completed by an artist, which is modified through and thanks to the application of this technology, giving rise to a new artistic creation that will preserve the original sound and lyrics at its base.
Obviously and with the exceptions of the case, because it is obvious that the technology of that moment can not be compared at all with the one of today and the modifications that this allows them to do to those who produce this type of music, electronic music has its roots in the beginning of the last century, more precisely in 1910 with the experimentation of the so-called Italian Futurists led by Luigi Russolo who made music with noises and electronic music boxes. These first resources could be considered from the historical point of view as the first versions of this style. Anyway, the etherophon, invented in 1919 by the Russian physicist Lev Serguéievich Termen, is considered the first electronic musical instrument, that is, the first synthesizer in history.
But, of course, these were the simple experiments and dreams of a handful of visionary musicians, who would only take on some reality during the Second World War with the development of the first techniques of cutting, splicing and pasting or retracting different fragments of a tape recorded. It has been the magnetic data support that allowed the formidable editing techniques that would lead to the most modern experiments in electronic music.
And obviously with the evolution of the years followed the trials, tests and experimentations in search of new sounds thanks to the appearance of new technologies and the tuning of others like the synthesizer. But the popularity of this musical trend will only come at the end of the eighties of the last century with the arrival of techno and house, two of the most recognized styles within the genre, which began to be disseminated by European producers and DJs. Later, some authors devoted their efforts to create differentiated styles, such as the electronic styles of instrumental music (as happened with Jean Michel Jarré) or the derivations of the electropop style and other mixed formats of great diffusion.
Meanwhile, it will be the decade of the nineties that will see it consolidate and become one of the genres most followed by millions of young people around the world. Much of this, without a doubt, is due to the proliferation of festivals, better known as raves, among the most important are Creamfields and Moonpark, in which this type of music is the only and absolute star.
