the Investment Code is to define the framework and the conditions in which to operate investments in Guinea.
I - TERMS OF INVESTMENT AND GUARANTEES GRANTED TO INVESTORS:
freedom of enterprise, freedom to transfer capital, the principle of equality between public and private sectors, the protection of acquired rights, equal treatment of foreign natural and legal persons and Guinean nationals and Reciprocity.
II - privileged regimes
Tax concessions are granted to anyone investing in Guinea to the creation of a company or its extension.
The Code's priority objectives are:
o The promotion of small and medium companies in Guinea
o The development of non-traditional exports;
o The development, by processing in Guinea, natural resources and local raw materials;
o The implementation of activities in economically less developed areas.
Achieving these objectives should ensure the creation of jobs for national and harmonious development of the economy.
o Each of these objectives is a privileged treatment as follows:
o Plan for small and medium enterprises;
o Plan of exporting companies;
o Business Plan valuing natural resources and local raw materials.
Plan undertakings in a less economically developed area.
o priority sectors of activity are:
o Companies agricultural production, particularly of food crops and rural development;
o Industrial Crops comprising a stage of processing and packaging of the products;
o Livestock Companies with facilities for the health protection of livestock;
o Fishing companies including processing and storage facilities;
o Fertilizer production, preparation and chemical mechanical processing industries or products of plant, animal or mineral;
o Companies of health and education;
o Facilities and other tourist and hotel activities industries;
o Businesses property development social,
o Investment Bank or other credit institution located outside zone 1 referred to in Article 15 of this Code.
