Mantra is a general name for the verses, formulas or sequence of words in prose which contain praise, are believed to have religious, magical or spiritual efficiency. Different types of Mantras have different types of vibrations in it. The powerful vibrations created by Mantra chanting stroke the Chakras to attract divine forces. This process mysteriously heals our spiritual, physical and psychological body. Man has unlimited powers inside him. These miraculous powers can be awakened with the miraculous power of mantra meditation.

Aarti is said to have descended from the Vedic concept of fire rituals, or Homa. Aarti is derived from the Sanskrit word Aratrika, which means something that removes Ratri (darkness). Aarti is generally performed at the end of a puja or bhajan session of almost all Hindu ceremonies and occasions. It involves the circulating of an 'Aarti plate' around a deity and is generally accompanied by the singing of songs in praise of that deva. In doing so, the plate is supposed to acquire the power of the deity. The priest circulates the plate or lamp to all those present. It is also believed that Puja ceremony gets completed with the performance of Aarti and it has lot of strength to overcome negativity, darkness and ignorance.
The word "chālīsā" is derived from "chālīs", which means the number forty in Hindi, as the Chalisa has 40 verses. Therefore, Chalisa means "forty verse" prayer. They are recited over and over again or chanted by groups. Each god has different Chalisa. Chalisa is considered best method of propitiating your Ishta devta in modern age. In order to get the blessings this chalisa should be chanted regularly for 40 days. This app is a beautiful collection of various popular mantras aarti and chalisa.
