Stuart Binny made his First-Class debut in 2003-04 and it took him more than 10 years to represent India. Son of Roger Binny, former Indian cricketer, Stuart is in the same mould as his father. Despite being a wicket-to-wicket medium pacer and also a useful lower-order batsman, he was in and out of the Karnataka Ranji team and when the ICL came calling he inked a deal with Hyderabad Heroes.

Playing in the ICL gave him good exposure as he was playing with some of the greats in the rebel league. However, he was missing out on the opportunity of playing for his country as all the ICL players were banned by the BCCI. After the league was scrapped, Binny returned to First-Class cricket. He was then signed up by Rajasthan in the Indian Premier League. The best years of his career started from then on, performing consistently for Karnataka and his franchise in the IPL. A successful domestic season in 2012-13, earned him a call to the Indian ODI side.

Binny made his debut against New Zealand but didn't do much in the only game on the tour. He was then selected for the Bangladesh tour after the senior players decided to take a break. In the second ODI of the series, he picked up 6 for 4 and helped India defend a paltry 105. Those figures are the best by an Indian in the 50-over format.

The pitches being helpful for his kind of bowling in England, Binny was handed his first Test cap at Trent Bridge. Though he didn't do much with the ball, he contributed with the bat by scoring 78 runs and helped India save the game. He played two more Tests in the series but was ignored for the subsequent ODI series. He returned to play the last two ODIs of the home series against Sri Lanka in 2014. Looking for a medium-paced all-rounder, the selectors named in the squad for the 2015 World Cup. However, he did not get to play a single game.

Mayanti Langer Binny (born 8 February 1985) is an Indian journalist with STAR. She has hosted many tournaments like Football Cafe on Zee Sports, 2010 FIFA World Cup broadcast on ESPN, 2010 Commonwealth Games, 2011 Cricket World Cup, 2014 Indian Super League and 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Mayanti is the daughter of Lt. General Sanjiv Langer and Preminda Langer. Lt. General Sanjiv Langer worked for the UN. Mayanti is a B.A.(Hons) graduate from Hindu College, University of Delhi.

Her interest in football grew when she was in USA, as her father worked in UN. She was in her college football team in the beginning and then became a guest anchor for a broadcast of FIFA beach football.
With the success of the broadcast, she was offered a spot as host and associate producer for Football Cafe on Zee Sports. Langer then went on to work for various football shows on the Zee network providing commentary and interviews during pre-match, half-time and post-match shows.She was also the anchor on Zee Sports for the Nehru Cup football tournament held in New Delhi at the Ambedkar Stadium. She worked as an anchor for Zee Sports' coverage of the Indian Cricket League.
She was a host in the 2010 FIFA World Cup broadcast in India, on ESPN which includes a pre-match, half-match and post-match analysis. She headed a team of expert panelists alongside John Dykes for that show. Mayanti Langer also hosted 2010 Commonwealth Games held at Delhi along with Charu Sharma and 2011 Cricket World Cup held in India.[4] She also hosted India vs South Africa Cricket test series in 2013 December in Ten Sports. She also hosted a sports news show Star Power on Star Sports One. She also hosted the Champions League Cricket tournament and Indian Super League Football tournament TV broadcasts in 2014. She was also an anchor for Cricket World Cup 2015 for Star Sports.

She married cricketer Stuart Binny in the year 2012. He is the son of former Indian cricketer Roger Binny.
