This is an app developed by the FRC team 1212 to allow remote control of Power Wheel Cars. In the event that a child is incapable of adequately controlling these cars on their own due to physical or mental limitations, our modifications allow the children to still have fun in these cars! This app can be very empowering and therapeutic for these children.

This app and the associated circuitry and mechanical modifications give parents control of the car's steering, speed, and direction with options to allow or disallow the children to control any of those things.

This app features a go button that makes the car go forward, reverse, or forward really fast (faster than the cars normally allow). There's a brake button that activates electronic braking in case the kids are going somewhere they really shouldn't and there's a stop button that causes the cars to coast to a stop (far less jerky than braking). The cars are able to drive if the kids hit a button or the gas pedal, but it's easily overridden with the stop/brake button. The app controls the steering using the phone's orientation sensors: as you turn the phone, the wheels move to match the phone's orientation. It also includes the option to give steering control of the car to the child, and the steering wheels have power steering to make things easy.
Updated "How To Use The App" page with actual information. Page now includes instructions on how to connect your phone, what the controls do, and how best to steer.

Slightly changed the controls layout to be a tiny bit more aesthetically pleasing (maybe? I don't know, I'm a bad judge of this).

Updated code for the status text. Took out a couple unnecessary lines and added a lot of functionality. Should be really helpful for figuring out the connection side of things.
