The Building Operator Buddy or “BOB” is a building operator performance support tool focused on providing a set of resources to help building operators improve the energy efficiency of their facilities. Current resources in BOB include documents and videos around improving the energy efficiency of equipment, BOC Level 1 and Level 2 course documentation, inventory from the Field Equipment Lending Library (FELL), and more. Future releases will see the addition of more resources such as building data, enhanced search and filtering, and tools for calculating efficiency. New content is added regularly and functionality will continue to evolve based on input from users. This app is developed by the City University of New York, School of Professional Studies (CUNY SPS) in conjunction with Celeritas, Inc. on behalf of the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services Division of Energy Management (DCAS EM). It is only available to those persons from New York City agencies and organizations designated as participants in the DCAS EM Energy Management Institute (EMI) training programs, and you must use your official agency email in order to register to use the app.
