midess Smart Control on Windows Pc

WARNING: In order to use this application you must have an active account in the midess MDM. This is only for ICT managers and school teachers.

midess Smart Control is an innovative Classroom Control application that allows you to quickly and easily control student devices. The teacher need nothing else to keep his classroom under control at all times. It turns a smartphone into a real remote control.

The various functions allow you to:
-Select a group, from those created from the midess MDM Control Panel.
-Allow or deny access to the Internet.
-Activate the Content Filter or deactivate it: midess incorporates a resident Internet Filter that can be customized from the MDM Control Panel.
-Pause button: allows you to momentarily stop all devices, and a screen with the midess logo appears. This is very useful to grab the students' attention, to explain something for example, etc. They will automatically raise their heads to look up at the teacher.
-Play button: Used to resume work on the tablets to the same screen before the Pause button was pressed.
-Turn off the tablets remotely. In case a student forgets to turn this off at the end of the session.
-Restart the tablet. Very useful if the tablet is to be used by several students

Connection: When the application is opened, the Wi-Fi connection of the device is activated and the network to which it has been connected appears in the lower left corner. If you are not connected, the message "No Internet" appears. By clicking on it, we can select the Wi-Fi network to which we would like to connect, which must be the same as the one to which the students' midess devices are connected, otherwise the Classroom Control will not work.

Registration / Login: the first time you access the application one must enter the user name of the teacher, who must be registered in the Control Panel of the MDM of the school. If you tick the "Remember data" box when entering the data, the data will be stored and the next time you enter it, you will not need to register again.

Groups: After registration, a window appears to make the group selection, among those created in the MDM Control Panel. Once selected, the name of the selected group appears at the bottom and the number of connected devices on the right. If we click on the name of the group or on the number, a screen opens where we can see all the users of the group.

Close control: By clicking on the three dots icon in the upper right-hand corner, the "Close control" option appears. From here we can exit the application and next time we won't have to register again.

Forget user: If when registering you have checked the box "Remember data", when you click on the icon of the three dots, located in the upper right corner, the option "Forget user" will appear. If we mark it, when we reopen the control we'll have to register once again.
