Step By Step Guide To Play The Name Game using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "The Name Game" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

The basic rule of the game is to guess the correct phase or name within the given time. Separate into two groups of two people or more. Whichever team member is holding the device must try to get their team to guess the correct displayed word using verbal clues and physical gestures. The clue-giver may not sure a word that rhymes with the word, the first letter of the word, or any part of any word in the clue.

Game Mode: Hot Potato

In hot potato, the device is pass to a member of the other team after a clue is successfully guessed. The team not holding the device when the timer runs out receives a point. The first team to 7 points wins. Each team member is allowed to use the skip button once during their turn.
You must have sound enabled for this mode.

Game Mode: Time Attack

In time attack, one team will play each round. The team whose turn it is to play will pass the device between team mates, receiving one point for each correct answer. The first team to reach 22 wins. Teams can only score points during their turn. If the team that started the game first gets to 22 first, the other team is allowed to try to beat their score in the next round.
