This game in principle seems governed by chance, contains something more. Just like poker, psychology is very important.

The game of "Stone, paper or scissors" was invented in China. According to Wǔzázǔ, a book written by Xiè Zhàozhì at the end of the Ming era, the warlords of the late Han period played something called shǒushìlìng, the equivalent of what is now known as the "Stone, paper or scissors" . In the West there is no record of the game until there was contact with Asians. Both Chinese and Korean, call the game "Clothes with stone and tejera", while the Japanese call it "stone paper scissors", so it can be deduced that, the Westerners took the game of the latter.

The dynamics of this game is simple. You have three possible movements: stone, paper or scissors, each represented by a hand shape. It is played in a one against one. They put their hands behind their backs and count "1, 2, 3, stone, paper or scissors, now" and at the same time both opponents draw their hands behind their backs and put them in front, each one forming with their hands one of the three figures, shouting what they have taken out.

The ultimate goal of the game is to win your opponent by taking a superior weapon, that is, the stone wins the scissors, the scissors to the paper and the paper to the stone.

This simple game houses some very curious or eye-catching stories such as the Guinness World Record that this game has. It happened on April 3, 2009 in Canada, where the largest "Rock, Paper or Scissors" competition in the world took place. 1150 participants met and their winner, Cody Lombardo, in addition to taking a trophy entered the Guinness Book of Records. This record was recently (July 9, 2010) beaten by the LIFE 2010, where more than 6500 people gathered to play.

Of course, these tournaments are not organized to achieve a Guinness record, but are championships that have been held for years and captivate the attention of thousands of people. For example, the World Rock Paper Scissors Society has standardized a series of international standards, getting official championships organized around the world. Normally they have very powerful cash prizes (around $ 50,000) and get media attention. Some of the most famous championships are: USA Rock Paper Scissors League (sponsored by Bud Light)
