In this post, I am going to show you how to install RWS - Remote Web Server on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install RWS - Remote Web Server using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "RWS - Remote Web Server" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

RemoteWebServer offers simple website hosting on phones! To correctly use this web server, please follow these instructions (you can also find them when you start the application):

1. Be connected to your WiFi network (doesn't work on mobile data)
2. Go to PC and forward port "8080" for IP address which will be shown once you start the application, don't worry (go to this link if you don't know how to port forward: https://portforward.com)
3. Put website files in "Download/Website" directory (access the phone from PC with USB cable)
4. Click the "START MY WEB SERVER" button

NOTE:
When implementing images which are located at your internal storage's "Download/Website" directory, in the URL part of the HTML code for image you have to put: local or public IP address (which will be shown once you've started your web server) + :8080 + / + location of your image (for example, "Download/Website/images/banner.png").

Complete example (local): add "192.168.1.1:8080/images/banner.png" to "src" in "img"
