In this post, I am going to show you how to install auRA 3D on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install auRA 3D using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "auRA 3D" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 1] For better performance and compatibility, choose BlueStacks 5 Nougat 64-bit read more

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

The purpose of this app is the implementation of spatial vision of students and encourage innovative activities towards the subject of Technology.
The idea that from an elevation, plan and profile by the student, could rise in RA, required the use of VEDILS platform, a visual tool based on the environment MIT App Inventor 2 allows the design of different scenarios interactive education, which can be used from Android devices. The advantage of using this application is that it is accessible so that anyone can make their own application. In theory this is so, however, some programming skills are needed to carry it out and use knowledge to develop complementary tools.

The first barrier to be overcome was to create a recognizable pattern by the application to the figure rises on a screen of a mobile or tablet, and this pattern could be performed by the student. Autocad software was chosen as help to generate the pattern. Following the instructions of Autocad and thanks to the tools used to promote easy handling of the program, all students arrive at the same elevation, plan and profile.
To see my work on the platform VEDILS the collaboration of the developers of the School of Engineering (ESI) at the University of Cadiz was necessary. They were very supportive when programming the application, for fleshing out the idea was the hardest part.
VEDILS to recognize the pattern were a series of steps necessary. First he had to make 8 figures in 3D with Autocad. * Dwg file was necessary to break this down into two files: an * obj and mtl *. To do so, the online 3D platform Babel was used.
It was also necessary that the employer had quality to be recognized, for it was made use Photoshop to improve image quality. Once improved with Photoshop, the pattern should ride the Vuforia platform where the other two files you need before you start VEDILS program are achieved: A * .dat and * xml.
