Finance Your Future is a fun, free and interactive way to learn about responsible money management. The app is an extension of the Florida Department of Financial Services’ online financial literacy program at http://FinanceYourFuture.MyFloridaCFO.com/.

The various aspects of finances are not always easy to teach or learn, so this online course is a comprehensive, yet simple overview of various financial topics like banking, budgeting and saving, credit and debt, insurance, and financial frauds and scams.

The course is designed for middle and high school students as well as parents, teachers and other adults. The goal is for learners to benefit from the material in the course, whether they are taking them as a refresher or learning about finances for the first time.

The course consists of eight modules. Each module includes interactive activities, such as budget worksheets, and real-life examples and scenarios.

The modules include the following topics:
Budgeting and Saving
Credit Cards
Banking
Credit Reports and Credit Score
Debt
Frauds and Scams
Insurance and Benefits
Life Events

Finance Your Future was built to satisfy Florida’s half-credit financial literacy graduation requirement, and each lesson aligns with specific Sunshine State Standards. With its built-in Instructor Portal, Finance Your Future is ready to be used in the classroom.

The Instructor Portal allows teachers to create lessons and track student progress. Instructors create a free account and generate invite codes for each lesson plan they assign. Students then login with the instructor’s invite code and all progress and Knowledge Check scores are tracked in the instructor’s Lesson Dashboard.
