Step By Step Guide To Install IBM Entitled Systems Support using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. It provides a mobile experience to SW licenses, SW keys, Update Access Keys, SWMA and hardware information for Power Systems servers running AIX, IBM i and Linux operating systems.

The mobile app includes:

• Functions for adding, removing and grouping Power Systems servers in your mobile profile - sorting by serial number, machine type, or customer number,

• Quick search for servers,

• Maintain a list of your favorite servers,

• View and share IBM i SW keys, Capacity on Demand keys and Update Access Keys (POWER8 or newer),

• View licensed SW and software maintenance information per server,

• View warranty information per server,

• Register for new customer numbers,

• Authorizations to customer numbers shared with the ESS website (no need to re-register) - you can re-use your existing ESS IBM id.
