If the word "faith" is mentioned side by side with the word "islam", then the meaning of "islam" is directed to outward deeds; such as 2 sentences of shahada, prayer, zakat, and pilgrimage. Meanwhile, the meaning of "faith" is directed to the belief that is in the heart, such as faith in Allah, His angels, His books, His apostles, and the Last Day. However, if the word "faith" is mentioned separately, then the meaning of the word "Islam" is included in it. " (See Majmu 'al Fatawa: 7 / 5-14)

The conclusion:

Islamic cancellers are all practices that make someone apostate. This cancellation can be in the form of words, it can be a practice, it can be belief, and it can be doubts. Because of this, a person can fall away because of what he says, or because of the practice he practices, or because of the faith he believes in, or because of doubts that arise in his heart.
