In this post, I am going to show you how to install Cardea -- A Ubicomp App on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Cardea -- A Ubicomp App using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

This is the demo version of Cardea, this app won't collect or analyze your data. Back-end is also disabled. The fully functional app can be provide upon request. The fully functional app have to work with ExtraSensory app.

This is a project to help motivate users who had a heart attack or stroke.

Key Functionalities:
Record activity labels via ExtraSensory app.
Tally up the hours they have been performing that action.
Forward the data to their physician as a presentable graph
Receive feedback from the physician.
Warns family/physician about decreased activity levels over a period of time(2-3 days delirium) because heart attack/stroke doesn’t happen all at once.
List of Screens: Login, Goal setting, Graphical

Our app takes a black box approach of keeping the patient’s identity anonymous. Only the patient and physician knows each other’s identities. We would only use a hashed ID to correlate their data.
