Union fruit of partners Indio Brasileiro Guerra Neto, Ricardo Almeida and Anderson de Andrade, the Authors Club is the largest self-publishing platform in Latin America that allows independent authors publish their works without minimum circulation - on demand - and at no cost.

Founded in May 2009, the startup was born from the experience of the partners as authors and quickly gained notoriety in the Brazilian publishing market, currently representing about 10% of all books published in Brazil.

In the Authors Club, who decides whether or not to publish is the author himself. Simply click Publish your book and follow the instructions on the screen. During the process, it will register the file of his work, define the type of book finishing, and to establish the amount related to copyright you want to receive for each copy sold. Automatically, the system will do the accounting for the number of pages, making the final price of the publication and placing it for sale on the site. This process is completely free to the author.

When someone buys the book, the book will be printed and sent to the buyer or have your authorized download (in the case of an e-book).

There are two publishing possibilities: Printed and E-book. The author may make available his works at partner stores such as Google Play and AgBook. Each year, the Authors Club promotes its Brazilian Literature Prize, which every author can participate with their works. The club also participates in the literary events most important of the country, such as the Flip and Fliporto.

Another totally relevant differential for Authors Club is that license its technology platform to other publishers.

In the year 2013, the Authors Club became the first self-publishing platform to receive a contribution. The investment was made by SC Fund, managed by the company FirCapital BZPlan and focused on investing in innovative companies.

The partners of FIR Capital are pioneers in venture capital in Brazil, with an investment track record in companies like Akwan Technology, which was sold to Google to accelerate its entry into the Brazilian market; Miner Technology, sold to UOL; and Biobrás S.A. sold to Novo Nordisk.

The company has as one of its shareholders DFJ - Draper Fisher Jurvetson, a leading venture capital managers in the world with over $ 5.5 billion in its investment portfolio and about 550 portfolio companies, including giants like Hotmail, Skype, Baidu, DivX and Overture.

BZPlan already accounts for a 10-year history of supporting innovative companies and recently entered the market Venture Capital Fund via the SC which has already invested in four other companies.
