But most young Singaporeans only remember the recent few like Joseph Schooling who won the country's first and only Olympic Gold medal, and Feng Tianwei who anchored the table-tennis team to Singapore's first Table-tennis World Championship.

Many of the athletes were almost never mentioned again, their records and achievements forgotten. We should recall and admire their passion and pioneering spirits in daring to compete in international tournaments and at the world's stage.

The quiz is a compilation of 6 categories of sports which Singapore athletes have done well in, and includes some interesting Singapore sporting history. Young athletes of today should attempt the quiz to discover for themselves the achievements of their seniors. School students should do their research as part of their Physical Education lesson and attempt the quiz to remember the history of Singapore's sporting history.
