This tutorial lets you start using the basic and familiar shapes you've seen a hundred times.

But until now, I'm sure you never thought it would teach how to draw trees!

Add some simple techniques I promise to anyone who can be taken care of, and you'll be drawing realistic and trusty trees with confidence in no time.

All you need to start is a pencil, eraser and some waste paper or pads.

However, before we actually put a pencil on paper, let's look at the 50 pictures we have prepared.

Notice first that the upper (black) pencil has a long dot on it.

I have achieved this with a craft knife. Pencil pencil is okay but you can not get the tip of a pencil like this with them.

The yellow pencil tip has been done with a pencil sharpener. It will come down as soon as you sketch and you will stop continuously to sharpen it again.

The long point of the black pencil means that I can make the line wider and more confident, reaching the full thickness of the lower branches, in one journey.

Also, when I start shading the larger area, I can do this more quickly and effectively hold the pencil in this way.

Look at the three signs I made - all with the same points. The widest is achieved by just holding a pencil

flat to paper, like a pastel stick. It is perfect for sweeping thicker and lower branches.

When I reach the top branch, I can start using more things to get the fine lines needed here.
