Representing a full offline/Online mobile application, SAP C-FSM Utilities provides ready-made scenarios that help field forces and service technicians perform their daily activities at customer sites and within plants. The strong integration into Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and SAP Utilities (IS-U/CCS or SAP ECC Industry Extension Utilities) allows the field forces to work on internal orders (within your own technical installations) as well as at the customer site. The solution integrates the customer data from SAP Utilities and SAP EAM in one mobile application.
SAP C-FSM Utilities can be deployed either on a laptop computer or Mobile pads or a standard PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) device. In either case, SAP C-FSM Utilities provides capabilities for synchronizing with back end systems at scheduled interval, on Demand or at Data Change Notification (DCN). This allows field technicians to access the information they need and perform required functions without a wireless connection. When a connection is available, up-to-date information entered into the mobile device from the plant floor or from the customer site can be relayed back into back-end systems for instantaneous analysis or further processing (such as invoicing).
