Step By Step Guide To Install DrivingStyles OBD-II Behavior using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

1. Using a Bluetooth OBD-II (ELM327) application interface collects information such as speed, acceleration, engine speed, the position of the accelerator pedal and the geographical position of the vehicle using GPS.
After gathering the information the user sends the route data on the Web site where they will be analyzed.
2. A Web portal that collects all data sent by users.
3. Analysis of the data stored on the server using neural networks in order to enable each user to find out what your profile as conductor.
4. The user and password to be created in the mobile application must be the same as that generated in the web portal to post routes.
First you need to make the user is entering the http://www.drivingstyles.info portal and download the application or http://play.google.com, for free, for Android. Then you must register in it to send its data; when it is registered can also access the user area, and view your stats and routes.
After installing the Android application on the mobile device, and connected the ELM327 bluetooth in the car, we can only begin to pair both devices for data acquisition.
Once finished the tour and stored routes, they are sent to the server, which checks the username and password to accept the received file and stored in. The user can view all routes sent to the server by accessing the graphics and maps of the route.
Configuration options.
Creating User: You need to create a user with a password that must match that we created in the web portal, since sending data capture, the server stores them in the database and the directory it validating the password sent with the data file.
Connection options: Before you start taking samples should pair with the OBD-II car, like any other bluetooth device. To make the connection between the mobile device and the Bluetooth ELM327 interface, you need to have matched on the ELM237 interface device, that the "Paired Devices" option in charge. In it we find all paired devices so far. Once we select it from the list of devices the application can access your MAC address later to make the connection between ELM327 interface and mobile.
Activating the GPS is not mandatory to have it enabled for data capture but if that is necessary for the study is being performed, the variables obtained automobile engine is recorded by the positioning of the car.
Selection of sensors allows us to select the sensors to display in the application and we captured. Currently we have the number of engine revolutions (rpm), the position of the accelerator pedal and the instantaneous speed of the car. The acceleration of the car, as we shall see later, is calculated by the speed sensor. The selection of sensors is dependent bluetooth, so if it is not activated can not be selected.
Selection of samples per second: Number of catches of data per second (. Default 2 per second) is not recommended because it can capture change or lose erroneous data samples.
