The first systematic activities to be proposed with the Golden Material, or on behalf digital here, have the objective to make students realize the relationships between the pieces and understand the changes in Decimal Numbering System.

The Golden Material is one of the many idealized materials for medical and Italian educator Maria Montessori to work with mathematics.

Although specifically designed to work with arithmetic, the idealization of this material followed the same principles "Montessori" for creating any of your materials, sensory education:
- To develop in the child independence, self-confidence, concentration, coordination and order;
- Generate and develop concrete experiences structured to lead gradually increasing the abstractions;
- Assist the child to realize the possible mistakes that commits to perform a certain action with the material;
- Through the exchanges between the pieces, quantify and understand the numbering system: unity, ten and hundred.
- Work with the child's senses.

Initially, the Golden Material was known as "Material of the Golden Accounts."
Here in its digital version created by BR-STEM, new possibilities were implemented to the material, such as:
