In this post, I am going to show you how to install Goldfish Memory on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Goldfish Memory using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Goldfish Memory" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

Have you notice that most of time, when you have someting to do, you known where to do it but not exactly when ? That why Goldfish Memory it's different : you don't only set a date and a time to you task, you set it a location. And when you will reach this location, you will be alerted ! You can choose any location you want in the world and it's quite simple to do. And if you really have a goldfish memory and even at the location you fear to forgot, you can ask to be remind in 5 minutes. So no more excuse to forgot something !

It's really simple to use and free so try it youself !

The app doesn't use GPS (too slow, not battery-friendly), only network location. So don't worry, it will not drain your battery and it will work even inside buildings or underground.

It's the first version of the app, but stay tuned because more will come as :
- synchronisation with some online todo list services (Google Tasks, RTM, etc...)
- the possibility to repeat a task every days/weeks/months
- improve the algorithm for triggering a location-based task using the speed
- and more !
