Real Golf Scorecard is a free app that lets you enter your scores directly into a full 18-hole golf scorecard, instead of entering your scores one hole at a time.
We created a short two minute video that shows the Quick Start Guide steps for starting a Round, and the video is included as the first item in the set of graphic assets for this Google Play Store listing.
Please email realgolfscorecard@gmail.com if you have problems, suggestions for improvements, or new feature requests.
Highlights:
1. Scorecards - enter your scores into a grid that looks just like a real golf scorecard, and keeps running totals of your scores on the fly as you enter new scores. You can easily enter a score for any hole at any time during your round, directly in the Scorecard.
2. No internet access required - all data is stored on the device, and almost all features of the app, except e.g. downloading a Cloud Course, can be used even when you don't have internet access during your round.
3. Sync to the cloud - if you would like to backup all your data to the cloud, you can Register for a free account, then sync your data to the cloud anytime. If you then have a problem with your device or get a new device, you can sync your data from the cloud back down to your new device.
4. Courses - you can create courses yourself, or copy as many Cloud Courses to your device as you'd like. The Cloud Course list currently includes most North American, European, Australian, Asian, South American, and African courses.
5. Players - you can create players yourself, or copy existing Real Golf Scorecard users from the Cloud to use as players on your device.
6. Rounds - you can add as many rounds as you'd like. You can also add as many players to a round as you'd like. And you can email your scorecards to all players in a round that have an email setup for them. You can make a copy of an existing round, so that you can use the same Course and Players for your new round.
7. Stableford Scoring - to show Stableford scores on the main scorecard and individual scorecard, go to the Settings page in the side menu, select the Standard or Modified option in the Stableford Scoring section at the bottom of the page, and click the Save button in the upper left corner. The main scorecard will then show the front nine, back nine, and total Stableford points for each player, and the individual scorecard will include a separate row that shows the Stableford points for each hole for the selected player.
8. Google Maps - maps are available for each course hole, by clicking a course hole number in the top row of the Scorecard. The course hole map shows a marker for your current location on the hole, and the distance from your location to the green. You can click on any location on the map to add a custom marker, e.g. on a sand trap or lake, and it will show you the distance from your current location to that marker. Also, you can click on the Tee box marker to see the length of each tee.
9. Handicaps - the Settings page has a Handicaps option, which allows you to add a Course Handicap to use for each player in a Round. If the Handicaps option is set, and a player has a Course Handicap setup, then the Scorecards will show the Net Scores that are calculated using the Course Handicaps. The Stableford points calculations will also use the Net Scores.
10. The "Quick Start Guide" page is available from a link on the Home page, and contains simple steps for getting started with a round.
11. Our website, http://RealGolfScorecard.com, allows you to directly access and manage your data in the Cloud, if you Register for a free account and then Sync your data to the cloud.
Planned features:
1. Nearby Courses for your current location
2. Calculate USGA handicaps (already available if you Sync your data to the Cloud, and then use our website, http://RealGolfScorecard.com)
