In this post, I am going to show you how to install Web Widget on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install Web Widget using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Web Widget" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

Instructions to add web widget
Please follow below steps
1] Go to the home screen where widget is to be added and add widget.
2] From widget use settings button to launch widget settings window.
3] In step 1 use browser button to navigate to the browser to set webpage url.
4] Launch new tab with the web page url. Use set widget button and get back to step 1 setting.
5] Configure look of widget in step 1. Use next button to go to step 2.
6] In step 2 select frequency of refresh from drop down.
7] In step 3 recheck the summary and save.
8] Go to the widget in the home screen and Click refresh button in widget to see if web page is shown in widget.
9] Other buttons can be used for launching the web browser.

Instructions to add change notification in widget
1] In Widget settings select checkbox to enable web page text change alert
2] Click edit button and enable text change alert checkbox.
3] Enter text to be checked for change.
4] If some number is to be checked for a certain range enter greater than or lesser than values for alerts.
5] If text chnage is out of this range values user wil be alerted.
6] Click validate button. Hit save once validated in dialog.
7] Proceed to step3 settings and save in step3.
