The links between Scotland and Ulster have existed since time immemorial – from prehistory to present. This app includes information on 200 locations across the north of Ireland that form part of this story over the last 500 years. The sites include towns and villages, castles and churches, graveyards and monuments, and archives and industries.

Chronologically they range from 16th-century sites associated with the Redshanks – fearsome Highland warriors – to the outdoor museums of the late 20th with their reconstructed buildings from a bygone era. In some way each reveals something of the strong historic and cultural links that unite Scotland and Ulster.

So, there is no better time to download these rich, historical driving tours designed to guide you to the hidden highlights in Ulster’s fascinating past.

UNIQUE FEATURES:

>DOWNLOAD FOR FREE – Amazingly these rich, cultural heritage driving tours are entirely free with unlimited access to all tours, the extensive directories, mapping function and more information section. We strongly recommend a Wi-Fi connection for the large initial download, but after the download a Wi-Fi connection is no longer necessary.

>Accommodation – A list of suitable lodgings for the overnight traveller

> INTERACTIVE MAPPING - Each location listed is provided with relevant contact details as well as your immediate proximity to it. All locations in the directory are viewable and geo-located on the interactive map.

>MAP FUNCTION – Your tours will all be plotted, all of the points along your tour will be geo-located, there will also be a ‘find me’ feature which will highlight your exact location should you decide to explore the local area.
You can also tailor your map to geo-locate all of the relevant locations in your proximity to match your itinerary.
