This application is done using front end as Android SDK 2.0, Coding Java 6.0, Validation applying JavaScript, The application requires Eclipse Classic 2.6 IDE in the server for processing the WebPages and client systems requires Windows operating system mobile phones.
"Coimbatore Bus Guide" is an application for smart phones that work on Android operating system. This application uses GPS function. This application at a specific pickup point will send the current location of the bus to the users when they request. The user should enter the bus number and request for the location of the bus. Using GPS function, this application will send the current location of the bus.
Also this application provides voice message saying the current location of the bus. The voice information will be helpful for the user to know the current location of the bus. This app generates predictions of bus arrivals at stops along with the route. This application uses technologies to track the locations of buses in real time.
This study accepts input in the form of selection of the source and destination and selection of the bus travelling the distance to display the entire details about the routes and also track the location of the respective bus. The main goal of proposed work is to improve the bus system by adding necessary additional features into the application, like accurate bus timings, correct bus numbers and adding a GPS tracker into it.
