Foreword guide paper:

Physical therapists deploy a wide range of physiotherapy events in the development of our profession that are scattered because they have never been classified or arranged in a classification or coding.

Our discipline has been definitively established as a health profession as defined in the LOPS, reached the highest level of university education, which forces us to go slowly incorporating criteria in their management.

The publication of this book (or guide) is an aspiration, not only personal but collective, who needed interventions were coded and ordered by nomenclature, and which related to the International Classification of Diseases and existing procedures known as CIEP .

As we left the existing nomenclature interrelate with our interventions and give the profile and scientific support they needed.

I think that today we present publication widely meets the above objective and as the authors say, "is a document open and always subject to changes and additions as they occur." To the authors, Jose Manuel Brandi de la Torre and José Romero Porcel, I want to show my appreciation, and I do so on behalf of all physiotherapists, by the extensive and excellent work, and especially for its determination to move forward as complicated project only two people with scientific training and courage that could prove every day to perform. I hope someday know Physiotherapy recognize them as meticulous work and his tireless struggle for larger and dignify this important and beautiful profession.

The methodology followed has been, first perform a thorough review of the literature from a structured and professional perspective, such as databases PEDro, Medline, Cochrane, SciELO, ScienceDirect, Ovid, etc.. The aim was to obtain the highest probability of finding all the relevant information on the subject, ensuring as far as possible not to have omitted important works published or unpublished communication, all data collected by authors recognized specialists work in theme and updated, the most important articles, web pages, books, etc..

This has been used "quality filters" on the reliability of the information obtained, but collect all models and implemented or used by physiotherapists, both the current as traditional, innovative, therapeutic actions and even unfortunately forgotten, nevertheless surely some will not have been reflected.

Subsequently analyzed, extracted and compiled the most relevant data, trying to summarize accurately the results and conclusions of the various publications on the same physiotherapy act, to provide relevant information to underpin the conclusions in the above facts and which was distributed in some sections previously preset.

Finally, I hope that this book that you have in your hands will be useful, in the hope of receiving a fair and constructive criticism.
