Software License Agreement

Please be sure to read before use
SECOM Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ``SECOM'') agrees to this license agreement (hereinafter referred to as ``this agreement'') in providing the following software (including modification programs, etc., hereinafter referred to as ``this software'') to customers. ”) is a condition of use. Even if you do not specifically express your intention, you will be deemed to have agreed to this Agreement when you start using this software (including, but not limited to, downloading, installing, and other acts). Please be sure to read this agreement before use. If you do not agree to this agreement, you may not use this software.
Please note that software developed or created by a third party is subject to the terms of use established by that third party. Please see the instruction manual for details.

Licensed software name: “SECOM NVR Live Viewer”

Article 1 (License, etc.)
1. SECOM grants you a non-exclusive right to use this software, provided that you accept and comply with the terms of this agreement.
2. Copyrights and other intellectual property rights regarding this software belong to SECOM or a third party, and SECOM does not transfer these rights to the customer.

Article 2 (Scope of usage rights)
1. The customer may use this software in accordance with the usage method and purpose described in the instruction manual (including materials accompanying this software, etc., hereinafter referred to as "instruction manual, etc.").
2. The customer may install, download and use this software on one smartphone or tablet PC owned by the customer.

Article 3 (Prohibited matters)
The Customer shall not perform any of the following acts except as expressly permitted in this Agreement:
① Copying this software.
② Modify, modify, combine, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, analyze, etc. this software.
③ Delete or change any copyright or other rights holder notices displayed on this software.
④ Renting, leasing, renting, pseudo-renting, dealing in second-hand goods, assigning, sublicensing, or any other similar act with this software or copies thereof, whether for a fee or free of charge, without permission from SECOM.
⑤ Uploading part or all of this software to a network.
⑥ Use this software in a system that allows simultaneous use or sharing of one smartphone or tablet PC.
⑦ Engage in any act that infringes on any rights, including copyrights or other intellectual property rights, of SECOM or a third party.
⑧ Engage in any other acts that SECOM deems inappropriate.


Article 4 (Warranty scope)
1. SECOM only provides this software to customers as is, and does not guarantee the existence of defects or any other quality-related matters.
2. SECOM makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the performance, results of use, or suitability of this software for any particular purpose.

Article 5 (Disclaimer)
1. Related to the use or inability to use this software (including, but not limited to, damage to hardware or other software, defects, etc.), except in cases where SECOM is intentionally or grossly negligent. SECOM assumes no responsibility for any direct or indirect damage (regardless of normal or special damage) that may occur to you or a third party as a result of such use. Furthermore, SECOM does not provide any guarantees even if your data is altered or lost due to a malfunction of this software.
2. SECOM does not provide any warranty in the event that any defects or failures occur due to modification by the customer. Furthermore, SECOM will not be held responsible for any damage caused to the customer as a result of modifications.

Article 6 (Termination of this Agreement)
1. This Agreement shall terminate if any of the items below apply.
① If the customer does not wish to continue this agreement.
② If the customer violates any of the provisions set forth in this agreement.
2. Upon termination of the contract, the customer shall not use the software at all. Additionally, the customer shall promptly destroy the Software, its copies, instruction manuals, etc. at the customer's expense, or return them to SECOM. Customers shall comply with any instructions from SECOM.

Article 7 (Special provisions regarding individual contracts)
1. If the Software is provided based on an individual contract between the customer and SECOM (including subsidiaries and affiliated companies; the same shall apply hereinafter in this section), and this Agreement and the individual contract conflict, , the provisions of the individual contract will take precedence.
2. If the Software is provided based on an individual contract as set forth in the preceding paragraph, this Agreement will terminate when the individual contract ends.

Article 8 (Export Control)
If the customer takes this software outside of Japan, the customer shall comply with laws and regulations regarding export control within and outside Japan.

Article 9 (Governing law)
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Japan.
