The WE R RIDING app is here and it can bring a whole new dimension of fun to your motorcycling lifestyle. This app is full of features to make your daily rides more enjoyable.

For example, by simply pressing the RIDE button in the app, you can record a variety of data about the touring trip you’re on with your motorcycle. There’s also the “Riding Skill Evaluator.”* You simply put your smart device with the app installed in a holder and mount it on your motorcycle. The app then uses the sensors, etc., on your smart device to detect and evaluate your riding skills.
*This feature is only available on smart devices equipped with a gyro sensor.
The app also has a social networking service (SNS) to connect you with other motorcycle lovers. With a networking service full of fellow bikers, you are sure to find lots of interesting things to chat about and plenty of people to invite out on your next touring trip.
On the SNS website, you can compete with your friends. The point score you’re given after a ride can be directly uploaded to the networking service and every user can enjoy checking the latest scores on the daily-updated ranking page.
This app can not only track and map out your ride via a GPS logger, it also gives “Corner Points” for how well you make your way through curves and bends on the road, and an overall “Rider Score” calculated from your overall ride data.
We hope this app will serve as a new and fun way to enjoy life with your motorcycle!

Main features are
(1) recording data of your ride and evaluating how smooth you are on the motorcycle,
(2) a social networking service to make new biker friends,
(3) a way to participate in as well as plan events, and
(4) a point-based “Rider Score” calculated for each user and entered into a ranking to see which biker is enjoying their life with a motorcycle the most.

•In order to use certain functions of this app, a mobile data connection or Wi-Fi internet connection is required.
•Always prioritize your own safety when using this app, be sure to always obey traffic rules, and be aware of and follow the items listed in the Terms of Service.
•The companies of the Yamaha Motor group take no responsibility whatsoever in the case that you are involved in a traffic accident, etc., while using this app or your smart device.
•Focusing on and/or operating your smart device while riding a motorcycle, etc., (excluding the use of hands-free communication devices) is forbidden by law. When operating your smart device, do so only after stopping in a safe location.
•The point values and overall Rider Score displayed in this app are only approximations and are not a guarantee of riding safety or riding skills.
•There is no guarantee that the app will work with any vehicle or type of motorcycle. The mounted location of the smart device as well as the way it is mounted influence the precision, sensitivity and operation of the app.
•When mounting your smart device on a motorcycle, use a proper smart device holder and mount it as close as possible to the center of the handlebars. Be sure that it does not interfere with motorcycle operation.
•Please be aware that long uninterrupted usage of the app will drain your smart device’s battery.
