Step By Step Guide To Install Gurbani Wall Live Wallpaper using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.

G-Wall is a live Wallpaper application which is designed to be extensible to work with multiple "Data Sources". There are two Data sources configured to start with viz.

1. Pre Canned Photos/Pictures:
A new photo/Picture will be randomly be picked and presented as wallpaper. The daily Hukumnama from Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar will be pushed on to the phone. Touch with two fingers on the home screen ( at empty location) will show the Hukumnama. Users can do a pinch zoom on the screen to launch "Gurbani Searcher" to view the detailed meanings and translations. One must install Gurbani Searcher version >9.9.0 for this to work. Touch with two fingers while Hukumnana is showing, will take it out of the screen.

2. Photos from Gallery:
A new photo will be picked from user's collection in the phone. User can also define the set of photos from which to pick for wallpaper under settings. In this source also Daily Hukumnama will be pushed from Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. Please try touch with "Two fingers" and Pinch zoom on wallpaper.

More sources can be configured and any third party can write his/her own source by adhering to the published API ( will be published shortly) . The sources can be designed to push "thought of the day" and will not be limited to Gurbani in future.

User have a lots of choice to adjust the appearance of the wallpaper. (S)He can chose to blur, dim and grey the wall paper as per individual's choice to avoid any distraction on the main screen. User can also configure to get notification for new wallpaper and can configure to Blur on lock screen.
