A customise surveying application made specifically for GEPCO users. Other than GEPCO users cannot use this application.

An survey app for Electrical Distribution Network. Field officer will do survey by using this app, enter data and take GPS points for each Electric Pole and later on sync the data to server. On server side all GPS points will then map using Esri Arc-GIS maps and supervisor of field officers can do analysis on the basis of data entered from mobile app.

Basic Workflow of app:
•Starting/Ending of sections
•Equipment information
•Data is synchronised with the server (Oracle SQL Sever) using the application
•Field data saved automatically in the shape of tables
•Mapping of data using ARC Map
•Mapped network is validated (section lengths, section ID corresponding to their node IDs, etc.)
•A URL is generated so that the mapped feeder can be observed
•Data converted to SynerGEE supported format
•Analysis report generated on SynerGEE

Approach:
The network data for the GEPCO is created and maintained in the ESRI based ArcGIS system. It is comprehensive system that allows to collect, organize, manage, analyze, communicate and distribute Geographic data and information.

Methodology:
The preparation of data model, entities and relationship model is utilized by the survey team and back office staff to store the data effectively. The mobile application will help the survey team to record the spatial and attribute information for the data model based on the H.T. and L.T. network data collection. This will be automated process that will almost remove the digitization or attribution of data manually. There may, will be, very few cases where data may not be attached correctly or mapping of data may have been wrongly stored, which will be corrected in the due course of the assignment.

Network Survey and Mapping:
The objective of Network Survey under the Project is to geographically map each Electrical Network assets like 11 kV HT overhead lines along with associated line equipment’s such as Poles, Distribution Transformers, Capacitors etc. and also LT overhead lines along-with associated

equipment’s such as poles. The mapping activity also comprise of collecting and updating the various attributes of Electrical network entities as per finalized Data Model approved by the utility. The attributes thus collected will be linked to the corresponding Network elements which would be mapped through field survey. Thus there will be a one to one linkage created for any further Data Retrieval and analysis.
