On the evening of May 10, 1940 the first German troops arrive Wageningen. On the morning of May 11 German troops attack the outposts of the Grebbeberg. The toughest fight on Dutch territory in the early days of World War II began. The battle lasts three days.

Walking and cycling route
This app takes you - on the basis of two routes - in an interactive manner along with important places of battle. It tells the personal story of the soldiers on the basis of recorded stories and shows the battle and the traces of the struggle in words and pictures.

How to use
Download the app before starting the route. The routes can be started at the Military Honor Field Grebbeberg in Rhenen, Paviljoen Hotel Rhenen or Hotel de Wereld in Wageningen. The routes can be taken in any direction. While walking or cycling to "push notifications" given if you get close to an information point.

Connection
For while walking or cycling to determine the position on the map, a GPS connection. An Internet connection is not required. Note: Continued use of GPS can dramatically decrease battery life.
