Betako PPS Merpati Putih (MP) is one of the colleges silat martial Empty Hand (PPS Betako) and is one of the cultural assets of the nation, began to form the flow of martial art is in about the 1550s and needs to be preserved and developed in harmony with the development and advances in science and technology today.

The current MP is a member of Indonesian Pencak Silat Association (IPSI) and Martial Arts Federation For World Peace (MAFWP) and Antar Bangsa Persekutuan Pencak Silat or PERSILAT (International Pencak Silat Federation).

Betako PPS Merpati Putih is one of the martial arts legacy Indonesian ancestors original work, and aims to forge a personality of its members to be in character and noble, virtuous, strong, harmonious, dynamic and patriotic, as the philosophy of Indonesia, Pancasila.

Martial arts is like a double-edged knife, can be used to help or hurt. For that a martial art must have the basics of a strong philosophy in the teaching, so that no one and not abused. In the end, whatever is achieved by practicing martial arts will lead to a vertical aspect to God the Creator.
