Dr. TGH. Muhammad Zainul Majdi, M.A or familiarly called Tuan Guru Bajang (TGB) (born in Pancor, Selong, May 31, 1972; age 45) was the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara two periods, 2008-2013 and 2013-2018 tenure. In the first period he was accompanied by Vice Governor Badrul Munir and the second period was accompanied by Vice Governor Muhammad Amin.

Dr. TGH. Muhammad Zainul Majdi basic education in SDN 3 Mataram (Mataram Now SDN 6), graduating in 1986. He passed the junior secondary level in MTs Nahdlatul Wathan Mu'allimin Pancor only for 2 years, and graduated the same foundation Aliyah in 1991. Prior entered college he memorized the Quran at Darul Qur'an wal Hadith Ma'had Nahdlatul Wathan Pancor for a year (1991-1992).

Later in 1992 Majdi went to Cairo for studying at the Faculty of Islamic Theology Department and Sciences Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Azhar University in Cairo and graduated title Lc. in 1996. Five years later, he earned a Master of Art (M.A.) with honors Jayyid Jiddan.

Upon completion of the S1 and S2 at Al-Azhar for 10 year, Majdi proceed to the S3 program at the university and the same department. In October 2002, the proposal received Majdi dissertation entitled Study and Analysis of Manuscripts Book of Tafseer Ibn Kamal Basya of Surah An-Nahl Beginning to the End Surat Ash-Shoffat under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Said Muhammad Dasuqi and Prof. Dr. Syahaq Ahmad Ahmad. He earned a degree with honors Martabah EL-Neural El Ula Ma`a Haqqutba or Summa Cumlaude on Saturday, January 8th, 2011 in munaqosah (session) with Lecturer Examiner Prof. Dr. Hay Abdul Hussein Al-Farmawi and Prof. Dr. Abdullah Abdurrahman Al-Muhammady Ats-Tsuluts.
