In this post, I am going to show you how to install TraQ on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...
Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install TraQ using BlueStacks
- Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
- Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
- Once installed, click "TraQ" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

- Download & Install NoxPlayer at: https://www.bignox.com. The installation is easy to carry out.
- Drag the APK/XAPK file to the NoxPlayer interface and drop it to install
- The installation process will take place quickly. After successful installation, you can find "TraQ" on the home screen of NoxPlayer, just click to open it.

TraQ provides an opportunity to conduct, record & report project wise quality inspections with two level authorisation. Main advantages of TraQ are:
•No check-point is missed while conducting an inspection.
•Traceability of Inspector and Authoriser is maintained.
•A user can edit own answers, comments & add, edit or delete photos till submission.
•Inspection conducted by a user cannot be edited by anyone else before, during or after inspection submission.
•Pdf report is created with time stamp.
•Rejection without a reason is restricted.
•Actual photo(s) can be attached to the report as proof.
•Data for all inspections is stored & made available for trend analysis.
Conducting an Inspection:
•To start an inspection, search a checklist by name or identifier or tags.
•Mark a checklist as “Favourite” at any time before, during & after inspection.
•At the start of an inspection, a unique inspection id is generated in a predefined format as “JM-150714-010” using initials of user as first two letters (JM for John Miller) followed by date in YYMMDD format (150714 for 14th July 2015) followed by the serial number of inspection conducted by the user on that day (010 for that days 10th inspection by John Miller).
•Enter correct location (Select from pre-loaded OR Enter user defined)
•Answer Checkpoints - Select from four options “A” - Accepted; “AWC” - Accepted With Comments; “R” - Rejected; “NA” - Not Applicable. To select “AWC” or “R” Comments are mandatory.
•For check-points where “Text” or “Number” is mandatory, answer options “A”, “AWC” & “R” are not enabled before entering required “Text” or “Number”.
•Attach photos as required. Only photos captured during the inspection can be attached. Photos can be cropped, rotated & captioned as necessary before submission.
•Answer all check-points. Enter ITP details (optional).
•Mark overall “A”, “AWC” or “R”. To select “AWC” or “R” Comments are mandatory.
•Comments can be added to overall inspection at any time before submission.
•Completed inspection can be submitted only after attending all checkpoints.
•Inspection submitted by Inspector will be forwarded to respective assigned Authoriser for authorisation
•Authoriser can view the inspections received by Inspector only in “Read Only” mode
•Authoriser can add own comments & Mark “A”, “AWC” or “R” only to an overall Inspection & not for each check-point. To select “AWC” or “R” Comments are mandatory.
•Inspections conducted by Authoriser are considered Authorised. Separate authorisation is not required.
Reporting:
•All completed inspections by Inspector & Authoriser will be stored at the server & will be available for trend analysis.
•Standard reports such as inspections conducted, accepted, rejected per inspector, per contractor, per phase, per area, per week, per month, etc will be configured & generated periodically as required.
•All data will be available in Excel Sheet format to generate custom made reports as necessary.
Administration functionalities:
•User Management: Creating users, assigning & editing hierarchy (Inspector or Authoriser), Every inspector will be linked with one authoriser. User activation & De-activation, Editing user profile & deleting user.
• Checklist Management: Creating checklist, enabling & disabling use of a checklist, editing checklist & tagging of checklist.
•Location Management: Defining project phases, divisions, sections & subsections. Four level location management with additional provision for location description.
